ESG

ESG is an acronym that stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. It enables you to see several aspects of your researched companies’ sustainable and ethical activities. Examples of environmental activities include lowering energy use and utilising renewable energy sources to achieve net zero status.

The platform’s ESG part is separated into two sections: one for each company in your study and one for all companies together. To reach the Detailed View for a specific company, simply click on the company name in the Market Explorer List View.

You will see all of the original data, such as the Momentum Score diagram and Competitors List, but if you scroll down, you will see the ESG Breakdown for that company, as well as a list of linked articles.

The second section is another Market Explorer view. Just switch to ESG from your current view; it will appear as a new drop-down option under the News and Events view.

Similar to the News and Events view, you will be able to select based on several ESG categories and labels once in the ESG view, such as Air Quality for Environmental, Data Security for Social, and labour Practices for Governance. You will also be able to search for companies that have been awarded and certified. There are also news pieces relating to the ESG data that we have collected.

We use sentiment to provide consistent analysis and rating for all events – categorising all data and the source material as positive or negative.  This allows us to share aggregate scores against ESG categories.
